Florida Man Caught Mopping Tables At Burger King
Jacksonville – A Florida man Burger King employee was caught on video using a mop to clean several tables in the restaurant’s play area. The employee was mopping the floor in the play area when a patron looked up and saw him sling the mop on a few tables and scrub the area where the family had eaten just minutes prior. A mop is a mass or bundle of coarse strings or yarn, etc., or a piece of cloth, sponge, or other absorbent material, attached to a pole or stick. It is used to soak up liquid, for cleaning floors and other surfaces, to mop up dust, or for other cleaning purposes. It’s less commonly used to clean tables where people consume food on a regular basis. The company condemned Florida man’s actions. “The action depicted in the video is unacceptable and not in line with our brand standards or operational procedures. We have strict protocols around cleanliness and food safety. The restaurant owner will be re-training his team on all operational protocols.” Having the tables mopped is actually a step above the normal sanitary protocol at most fast food joints.
